This is a website for reviewing books we love, with a focus on things by women, people of colour, and other marginalised people (because it is very much NOT a level playing field, and every little bit helps). And also because fabulous things get missed!
We review novels (and sometimes the occasional novella published as a standalone). Books are available in English, either original or in translation. We welcome review copies of either traditionally published books, or self-pub reissues of traditionally published books: we have absolutely nothing against self-pub, it’s just that we’re all swamped, and have no time to filter everything–we will review self-pub books and other things on an ad-hoc basis).
The website was started by me (Aliette de Bodard), but I have a fabulous team of reviewers onboard: Ronni Phillips, Rochita Loenen-Ruiz, Leticia Lara, Nina Niskanen, Victor Fernando R. Ocampo, Vida Cruz, Kate Elliott, and others!
Blog title: in case you’re wondering, it’s a homage to Clarissa Pinkola Estés’s deeply inspirational Women Who Run With the Wolves.
